Director of Advancement and Planned Giving

The Director of Advancement and Planned Giving holds the primary responsibility for deferred and planned gifts. The director serves as a key resource to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, supports the institutional advancement team through training and portfolio management, and works with donors to secure philanthropic support.

The director will implement and market the planned giving program, secure philanthropic investment in planned giving vehicles, work closely with advancement gift officers on planned giving strategies and portfolio management, provide planned/deferred gift training and support for the institutional advancement team, and manage a personal portfolio of donors.

In all efforts, the Director of Advancement and Planned Giving seeks to secure philanthropic support that is tied directly to the mission, strategic goals and initiatives of Southwestern College.

This position requires significant experience/knowledge/interest in planned giving. Experience in direct fundraising of annual, major and planned gifts is preferred. A college degree is required.
