Annual Giving Manager

The Annual Giving Manager is responsible for managing The Lyceum's entire giving and sponsorship program.  He/she assists with any special projects or capital campaigns when needed.  Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Annual Giving Manager works closely with the theatre's Producing Artistic Director and Board of Directors.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan and implement annual backers campaign that focuses on the acquisition of new donors, retention of current donors, and increased giving to include individuals and businesses
  • Works with Board of Directors on the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of annual gifts
  • Solicit businesses and individuals for sponsorships
  • Execute and manage all direct mail and telephone campaigns
  • Develop and coordinate all materials for the solicitation and stewardship of contributions.  This includes donor lists, letters, brochures, invitations and any other fundraising materials
  • Coordinate with Director of Marketing on any web-based communication efforts for donors.  This shall encompass the company website, E-news and all social media messaging (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
  • Plan, coordinate and oversee donor recognition events
  • Track and fulfill any donor and sponsor benefits
  • Manage budgets for campaigns and fundraising events
  • Maintain database for tracking and recording donor gifts, prospecting, research and other pertinent donor information
  • Collaborate with the Special Events Committee and Director of Marketing on any fundraising or friend-raising events and attend all special events.
  • Attend all productions to greet current donors and meet prospective donors

Skills and Experience:

  • A passion for the performing arts
  • Bachelor degree
  • Ability to solicit donations and move donors to increased levels
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Superior writing, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning capabilities
  • A self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proven track record and success in related field
  • Desire to work in a team-structured environment
  • Strong computer skills to be able to utilize company's donor and ticketing software and proficiency in MS Office is required
