HOURS: Monday-Friday, 37.50 hours per week

TRAVEL: Approximately 25 days travel annually
 
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
This multi-faceted position will develop, lead, manage, and/or implement a full range of fundraising and marketing initiatives with revenue and ROI accountabilities, including annual giving programs, fundraising events, new technology-based initiatives, marketing communications and promotion.
This will also have program management, marketing, and/or fundraising responsibilities related to AAFP Foundation Signature Programs, including Family Medicine Cares International and Family Medicine Leads.
This position is also responsible for one-on-one donor fundraising for a portfolio of mid-level donors which may include major gifts and planned giving. This position will be accountable for strategy and plan development, targeting and qualifying donor prospects from a membership of over 95,000 physicians, cultivating and managing donor relationships, and developing and/or making presentations/solicitations to individual donors and donor groups.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree, and specialized skills in development/fundraising plus a minimum of six years related experience. One-on-one donor development experience with a non-profit organization is required; and fundraising, marketing, and special events expertise for a non-profit organization is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will bring strong project management skills and a versatile skill set. Fundraising Certification or work toward certification preferred. Requires ability to make presentations to small and medium-sized groups. High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word; fundraising software (such as Raiser’s Edge), and current fundraising technologies is strongly preferred. Ability to work independently, effectively organize work, work with frequent interruptions and adjust quickly to changing priorities is required. A professional attitude is essential. Prior experience with a volunteer/membership organization or healthcare related organization is preferred.
