Welcome to the MO, Mid-America Chapter

The mission of the AFP Mid-America Chapter is to support and promote the work of ethical, professional fundraisers who facilitate philanthropy in the Greater Kansas City area.

The Mid-America Chapter, based in Kansas City, has grown considerably over the past several years and currently has a membership of more than 200 fundraising professionals. The organization works to achieve two primary goals:

  • foster the development and growth of fundraising professionals;
  • preserve and promote philanthropy and volunteerism and high ethical standards in the fundraising profession.

The Mid-America Chapter received the 2011 Chapter Ten Star Award, which recognizes the Chapter as a model in accomplishing the goals set forth by AFP and chapter leadership. The Chapter is also a past recipient of the Founders' Award for Public Service, honoring chapter achievements in promoting and maintaining high standards of public service and conduct.

The Mid-America Chapter has the networking, educational and career advancement opportunities fundraisers need at every stage of their career.
